C.C. O’Hanlon’s unusual CV lists past occupations as a musician, songwriter, concert promoter, sailor, fisherman, smuggler, gambler, photographer, film-maker, magazine editor, internet entrepreneur, senior corporate executive, NGO and museum board member, governmental and cultural adviser, and university lecturer. His essays and short fiction have been published widely and included in Best Australian Essays 2005, edited by Robert Dessaix and Best Australian Stories 2004, edited by Frank Moorhouse (both published by Black Inc), as well as A Revealed Life: Australian Writers And Their Journeys In Memoir (published by ABC Books). Currently, he contributes monthly columns to The Learned Pig (UK), an online journal edited by cultural critic Tom Jeffreys, and Fernando Sdrigotti’s Minor Literatures (UK/US). An inveterate traveller and lebenskünstler, he has lived in Berlin since 2012.
