CONRAD WILLIAMS

Born in Canada, Conrad Williams was educated at Bedales School and Trinity College, Cambridge where he read English and Law. After qualifying as a barrister and being called to the Bar (Middle Temple), he joined Blake Friedmann as a scriptwriter and director's agent in 1986.  He is married and has two daughters.

He is the author of two highly acclaimed novels: THE CONCERT PIANIST, about the emotional life of a great pianist (‘A command performance’ Independent; ‘Audacious, exhilarating, brilliant’ Gramophone); and SEX & GENIUS, about a struggle between Hollywood and a reclusive novelist living in Italy (‘A supremely intense and intelligent novel’ Publishing News; ‘Gripping and intelligent’ Times). Film rights in The Concert Pianist are under option to Viva Films. His latest novel, UNFINISHED BUSINESS, was published by Bloomsbury in May 2016.
