Biography: Jessica began her career as a theatre writer where she was seen as an original and distinctive new voice. Her first two places won her a BBC film commission, the Peggy Ramsay prize and a commission to write a series for Channel 4. She was writer in residence for both Hampstead Theatre and the National Studio. Her early success led to many commissions with both TV and film.
Five years ago, alongside her writing career, she began making films as a writer-director.
