Agent: Tom Witcomb

Biography: Jill Clough was born in Bristol in September 1944. She has a BA Hons and PhD in English, whilst in 2013 achieved a PhD in Creative Writing.

Jill worked as a headteacher in both independent and state schools and has also run projects for Newcastle Centre for the Literary Arts, in which she took creative writers into schools. She has had several academic pieces published and has appeared on television to represent the Girls' Schools' Association, guest appeared on the BBC Politics Show to discuss her last headship, and was also interview by Michael Buerk on the radio show The Choice.

In her spare time, Jill knits and sews for family members and gives the occasional lecture. She is currently working on her debut novel, MORPH.
