Graham Bartlett and Peter James were special advisers and contributors to the ITV documentary BABES IN THE WOOD, TX’ed in February 2019. Their non-fiction book of the same name will be published in 2020.
New comedy feature SUPERVIZED by Andy Briggs will be released in July 2019. The cast includes Tom Berenger, Beau Bridges and Ned Dennehy and is directed by Steve Barron.
6 x 1 hour series set in 19th century India BEECHAM HOUSE co-created by Shahrukh Husain and directed by Gurinder Chadha TX’ed in d June 2019. Shahrukh has written episode 3 and is historical consultant to the series.
Deon Meyer’s novel TRACKERS has been greenlit by Cinemax, as a six-part thriller series produced by River Studios with ZDF and M-Net. Filming began in Spring 2019, and the series is set to star Rolanda Marais, James Alexander and Ed Stoppard. Deon serves as supervising screenwriter and co-producer.
Marteinn Thorison’s first episode of SILENT WITNESS ‘Deathmaker’ transmitted on BBC1 in January 2019 to an excellent response.
BREXIT starring Benedict Cumberbatch, drawing on Tim Shipman’s ‘All Out War’ Referendum, aired on Channel 4 in January 2019.
Nick Brown authored the AGENT OF ROME series before transitioning to screenwriting, with projects including VANGUARD, an action/thriller about an MI5 agent whose family is put in jeopardy.
Joanne Lau is a Canadian-Chinese writer, neuroscientist and stand-up comedian, whose interests include comic noir and family dynamics. Since being represented by BFLA, she has landed creator/writer roles for two confidential projects and has been involved in writers rooms at the BBC.
Grace Link’s original series proposal NAIAD, the feminist reboot of Ovid’s METAMORPHOSES, is in development with Silver Reel (THE WIFE). Grace is an actor turned writer (credits include VICTORIA) and her scripts focus on building new worlds to tell classic stories, with underlying social commentary.
Ewan Ross ex-military now screenwriter, Ewan’s espionage caper VALENTINA TV series has been optioned to Salon Pictures and BLACK HACKLE to Sigma Films

Joseph O’Connor’s acclaimed adaptation of Daphne du Maurier’s MY COUSIN RACHEL will tour in a new production in Autumn 2019, which will star Helen George (CALL THE MIDWIFE) with Anthony Banks directing. Moonfish Theatre’s free adaptation of REDEMPTION FALLS opens at the Galway International Arts Festival in July
Dave Florez’ new play GOING UNDER was performed in a staged reading at the Criterion Theatre in Spring 2019.
Multi-award winning playwright Kaite O’Reilly’s 2019 productions include peeling, by Taking Flight Theatre, Aesop’s Fables with Unicorn, the Costa Rican premiere of the 9 fridas and a reworking of Orestes in Singapore with Phillip Zarrilli.
