Njambi McGrath is a stand-up comedian. She was born in rural Kenya and moved to the UK in her teens. Barely 18 months after starting on the comedy circuit, she was voted 1 of 5 Top Female Comedians to Watch by Fabulous Magazine in 2012, and later that year was nominated for Best Newcomer at the Black Comedy Awards. She has been described as ‘blazing the trail for black comedians’ by the Guardian

Njambi has been shortlisted for the BBC Radio 2 New Comedy Award numerous times, was a recent guest on BBC Radio 4’s Saturday Live, and has appeared on Sky, ITV and BBC television. She has also been profiled for Scotsman on Sunday, Guardian, The Daily Nation, Destination Magazine, and in Nigerian press, and is a contributor to GlamAfrica. This summer, she will be at Edinburgh Fringe with her show One Last Dance With My Father, and Africa: Weird and Wonderful.
