Angela contributed to the BBC World Service’s Global Concerns program, before moving into documentaries and filmmaking at Tartan Television and Plantagenet Films, working with Stanley Kubrick’s former assistant Norrie Maclaren. For Maclaren, Angela created over 30 documentaries, including gardening, environmental and scientific pieces, in addition to scripting the feature film THE POCKET VENUS and sitcoms BARBARAVILLE, GOLF WARS and MAGNETIC NORTH.

She wrote for Exec Producer Bernie Williams on THE LAST MUTINEER as a sequel to his film BOUNTY, and with Lewis Gilbert’s son John Gilbert on TUBE.  She created THE TALES OF THE OLD DRURY about the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane and THE COCK LANE GHOST as theatre pieces. 

She is the author of four novels, one of which was featured on the Discovery Channels "Unexplained" series. Her most recent novel, THE NINE LIVES OF ANTOINE MONTVOISIN was shortlisted in 2022 for the Mslexia Fiction Prize, judged by Hilary Mantel.

Angela's track record has seen her work with the best in the business for over 33 years.

SWORD:BEFORE THE LEGEND, Feature Film. Post Roman Britain and the son of the murdered king seeks to avenge his father’s death at the hands of a usurper while fending off the attacking Saxons, and paving the way for the legendary King Arthur.

TO KISS THE WORLD GOODBYE, Feature Film. A much-loved German film star imagines he can survive WWII by making movies, but he’s Jewish and the Nazis have other ideas.

THE WINDOW TRADE, Feature Film. When the Germans make a surprise attack on US military personnel at Slapton Sands in Devon, just two months before the D -Day landings, a group of young boffins conceive a plan to discover how the enemy knew of the Americans’ location .

THE PULLMAN PICTURE PARTY, TV Series, 6x60’. In August 1876 , a party of entrepreneurial Victorians tour England and Scotland in two luxury Pullman railway cars. Forced into cramped quarters, friendships are tested, marriages break down and new relationships are formed against a beautiful scenic background .

MRS A, Feature Film. 1930s, French Riviera. An old lady gets revenge on the corrupt MP who had her grandson killed by putting together a gang of con artists to work the perfect con.

THE REMAINING VOICE, Feature Film adaptation of own novel. A 20-something woman inherits a deserted Parisian apartment haunted by her great-aunt, who was a famous opera singer. With the French lawyer’s help the heir must lay the ghost to rest.
