Chris is a writer, actor and producer from Derry, Northern Ireland.
His feature script, THE PILGRIMAGE, was nominated for the BBC Tony Doyle Award and his TV pilot PERSONAL JESUS was shortlisted for the BBC TV Drama Writers Programme.
LITTLE LADY, his TV Christmas movie, funded by Northern Ireland Screen and ZDF in Europe, gained an audience of over 12 million when broadcast. Described in the press as “An enchanting tale of catharsis told with fantastically stylish images” it had the accolade of being the most-watched show on Italian TV on Christmas Day with 4.7 viewers tuning in.
His comedy feature film THE HYPE, inspired by the book ‘No Sleep Till Canvey Island: The Great Pub Rock Revolution’ by Will Birch, is in development with Catalyst Global Media in partnership with Warner Music.
SWAN’S CASKET, his action feature about the adventures of a teenage Victorian cat burglar, is in development with Dolphragon Films.
He is currently writing AUBREY FLINT’S CHRISTMAS a comedy feature that he will be co-producing with Shush Films.
Chris also works as a freelance story consultant. He has been hired to work with a number of OSCAR and BAFTA-winning writers in this role. Also specialising in book to screen adaptations, he has helped develop projects for BBC Films, Film 4, Kudos in the UK, as well as Dream Works in the United States.
