Esther is a multi-award-winning writer who has written for stage, radio, and TV.  Her TV credits include episodes of THE STREET, ACCUSED, CALL THE MIDWIFE, MOVING ON, JUSTICE and CLINK.   

She is the recipient of an Amnesty International freedom of expression award for her play UNPROTECTED and was shortlisted for the Susan Blackburn Smith award for TEN TINY TOES.  She was also a writer-in-residence at warehouse9, Copenhagen’s Avant-Garde theatre venue.

Her single drama, THE PURSUITS OF DARLEEN FYLES, was developed into a Woman’s Hour series. It is now in its tenth year and one of the lead actors, Edmund Davies, won Best Actor in the Audio Drama Awards 2022. Her single drama TONY TEARDROP also went on to become a Radio 4 series.  Esther wrote COLLAPSE, episode 3 of the Radio 4 series FAULT LINES, starring Glenda Jackson, and the original single drama THE WILD WOMAN OF THE NORTH, broadcast on Radio 4 in 2023.

She has several projects in development, including an original series for Buffalo Pictures entitled NO TURNING BACK.
