Ewan is a London-based writer. He has a varied past as an actor, army officer, venture capitalist and private military contractor, specialising in counter-kidnapping, banditry and terrorism.
 
At nineteen, he attended the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, commissioning into The Royal Highland Fusiliers, a Scottish infantry regiment. He later passed P Company and served with The Parachute Regiment for two years.
 
As a private contractor, he worked on various projects in Ecuador, Colombia, Nigeria, Pakistan, Iraq, Southern Sudan, the USA and the UK, which helped pay for theatre school at New York’s Neighborhood Playhouse, a full-time two-year programme.

Ewan is the creator, writer, and Executive Producer of his TV show AVA, which has Katja Riemann attached in the lead role. Legendary Entertainment and Tobis are producing with Nick Copus (Animal Kingdom/Lethal Weapon) attached to direct. 

Additionally, his feature script ESCAPE TO FREEDOM tells the remarkable true story of World War II Czech flier, VACLAV Bozdech, and his rescue dog, ANTIS. An action-packed and emotional love story that sees the pair survive war, revolution and betrayal.

His debut novel, STUDY HARD. BE EVIL. is just out to market in the US.

He also has several other TV projects in various development stages, working with production companies in the UK, Germany and the US. 

Previously, he has worked with Andrew Knight (HACKSAW RIDGE) as a story consultant for his TV drama, ARC OF FIRE (Fremantle).
