Biography: Having spent much of her life working with children and young people, Jayne Kirkham graduated from the London Institute in 2000 with an MA in Screenwriting.  Her work has been BIFA nominated and has screened at Edinburgh Film Festival and broadcast on Radio 4 and CBBC.

As a founder of animation company Brown & Sticky Productions Ltd, Jayne has produced a number of shorts for festival and online release, as well as developing new animation series. She lectures in screenwriting at the Northern Film School and has acted as script consultant on a number of projects ranging from short films such as award winning Last Night (Dir. Conor Morrissey. Newgrange pictures/Irish Film Board) to American independent feature The Deadline (Dir. Sean McConville, Deadline Films LLC), to multi-platform ROZE AND THE ROBOTS (Gravy Media).  Jayne is currently adapting Marina Lewycka's novel TWO CARAVANS for Blue Zoo Productions.

Jayne was a Save Kids' TV Executive Committee member, submitting evidence to the House of Lords, Ofcom, CMS Select Committee and Lord Carter's Digital Britain Review on UK children's media. She is a member of the Writers' Guild of Great Britain TV, Children's and Editorial committees. Jayne is also a youth activity worker for West Berkshire District Council and a scout leader, and can be found with young people messing about in kayaks or up mountains - sometimes at the same time.
