Marc Pye

Marc Pye has written many hours of drama for series and serials including EASTENDERS, HOLBY CITY, HOLLYOAKS, THE BILL, WATERLOO ROAD, THE ROYAL, HOLBY BLUE, DOCTORS, ECHO BEACH, RIVER CITY, HIGH ROAD and RTE’s FAIR CITY, but is best known for writing “The Flasher” for the BAFTA, International Emmy and RTS award winning first series of Jimmy McGovern’s THE STREET. Marc then went on to work with Jimmy on his daytime series MOVING ON, where he penned “Bully”.

He is the author of four novels: LOLLIPOP (Sceptre, 2000), REWIRE (Sceptre, 2001), BABUSHKA (Amazon, 2018) and SPRING HEELED JACK (Amazon, 2022). His three short films - BALDY MCBAIN, LAST LEGS and INSTANT CREDIT - ALL premiered at the Edinburgh International Film Festival. INSTANT CREDIT won the Newport Beach Film Festival, LA in 2004.

His first co-written feature film, ACT OF GRACE, starring Leo Gregory, David Yip and Jennifer Lim was released in May 2012. His second feature, THE DANIEL CONNECTION, has been distributed by California Pictures. Inc, Paramount Pictures Studios. His third feature, DRESSERS, is in development with Junkyard Dog Films Ltd and Moquette Films Ltd.

He has lectured at Glasgow Caledonian University for the MA TV writing course and mentors MA TV writing students.
