Richard Bevan is an award-nominated screenwriter and playwright with a strong track record in drama, comedy, and crime storytelling across stage, screen, and radio. Passionate about character-driven narratives and culturally resonant stories, with experience writing for BBC, CBBC, Sky, and international production companies.

Richard’s riotous TV comedy-drama pilot Small Town Boy, based on his teenage years in West Yorkshire, has garnered a strong interest by production companies. His work has been showcased at Hampstead Theatre and the ICA. A new stage play Goodness Had Nothing To Do With It, a satirical comedy about Hollywood and the rivalry between Mae West and Raquel Welch filming on a notorious 70s movie, has attracted high profile actors currently attached to the project.
