Biography: Sammy Hyde writes banter-filled rom-coms, usually set somewhere in Australia or nearby. She graduated from Monash University in Melbourne with a double degree in Commerce and Arts, and a focus on literature and creative writing. Since then, she’s lived in both Sydney and Singapore working for a global tech company in human resources, before returning to Melbourne with a British husband and two kids in tow.

Sammy has been an avid writer since her first story about a ladybug escaping a cereal bowl when she was eight, and has always carved out time to write from bouncy commutes on the bus to solo writing trips in Bali or Malaysia.

In her spare time, Sammy can be found spending time outdoors, staying active, or fulfilling snack requests from her kids. She also loves a vino or two, so it’s no surprise that her favourite activity is a New Zealand winery bike tour.
