Before becoming a full-time writer, Susan was a lead project finance consultant on heritage buildings and sensitive landscapes for reuse in the 21st century on behalf of several British government departments, The Palace, and The National Trust.
She was born and raised in the United States, and is a British biographer, historian, talking head and author of several books, including Hitler’s Aristocrats, The Ambassador, Condé Nast, A Dangerous Woman, Heretic Queen and The Pirate Queen. She is currently working on a number of projects – both non-fiction and fiction.
She lives in a quintessential English village on the edge of the Cotswolds with her historian husband. She is also a Trustee for Campaign to Protect Rural England (CPRE) Oxfordshire.
