SCOTS JEWS Shortlisted for British Book Design and Production Award

Judah Passow’s SCOTS JEWS: Identity, Belonging and the Future, published by Bloomsbury, has been shortlisted for 2015 Best Book of the Year at the British Book Design and Production Awards, in the category for Photography, Art and Architecture. The prize is awarded by the British Printing Industries Federation, in association with Oxford Brookes University and The Publishers Association, and is considered one of the most popular literary events of the year.

Recognised by Michael Mail for its ‘skill, sensitivity and artistry’, SCOTS JEWS has been noted as a skilful portrait of Jewish people who live north of England's border. A review from Jewish Quarterly also hails Passow for capturing the Jewish people with a ‘great sense of joy, vibrancy, humour and comfort’.

The awards, designed to promote and acknowledge excellence and craftsmanship of the British book design and production industry, are to be presented at the Jumeirah Carlton Hotel in London on 26 November 2015.
