Lucy Mangan’s fascinating INSIDE CHARLIE’S CHOCOLATE FACTORY has been chosen by Amazon editors as a Children’s Non-Fiction Book of the Year 2014. The book was released to celebrate the fifty year anniversary of Roald Dahl’s classic children’s novel, and explores the wide-ranging influence that Charlie Bucket, Willy Wonka and the Oompa-Loompas have had on our culture. The book features hundreds of images, including previously unseen material from the Roald Dahl archive and behind-the-scenes photographs from the films, musical and more.

Lucy Mangan is a columnist for Guardian Weekend magazine and Stylist, and author of MY FAMILY AND OTHER ANIMALS, THE RELUCTANT BRIDE and HOPSCOTCH AND HANDBAGS. Lucy is now working on BOOKWORM, a personal history and celebration of children’s literature, to be published by Square Peg.
